During the first few hours of today’s
meeting, we had drive practice! With our type of drive base (finally) decided,
we were able to start having prospective drive team members practice driving to
help prepare for drive trials and competitions. This is a big change from previous
years, where we’ve had very little time to practice driving. Since we’re
planning on dedicating much more time to drive practice earlier in the year, we
hope to improve our drive team’s performance.
After drive practice, we ate dessert!
(And dinner, too). This was a rare treat, as most of the time we only eat
dinner and anyone who wants sugary treats must resort to the pantry.
Finally, subteams continued to work
on CAD. Fortunately, all subteams made good progress today and are close to finishing
their models!
We also have water bottles now! While
we’ve had them for a while, this was the first day where we assigned bottles to
people and labeled them:
