We got to the shop with a list of decisions to make, and after many hours of deliberation we made them.
List of things our robot will include:
External roller tote intake
(Sort of like the intake in this video)
A claw to grab either totes of recycling containers after they have been brought in by the intake mechanism that will raise and lower on an elevator mechanism
(Sort of, but not exactly like the grabber in this video)
A separate mechanism for center recycling container pickup
And a preliminary setup of space like this:
While not everyone agreed on all of our design decisions, the team is ready to move forward and build a great robot.
This was a great first week, and hopefully, the next five go even better.
