Today we
continued assembling parts of our robot. Several key parts of certain subsystems
are coming together, and the creation before us is starting to resemble our
competition robot more and more thanks to advanced fabrication techniques such using
a CNC mill to make parts, using a waterjet to make parts, and using snow to
cool hot metal parts down.
While there
are certainly some things we would change if we could start build season all
over again, this year’s robot has many features that we as a team can
collectively be proud of. Because of time, it has become clear to us that a
robot reveal video is not a guarantee this year, but we are certain to post
pictures of the robot on this blog and on the website. I personally cannot wait
to reveal our robot, and I am sure that the rest of the team feels the same way
as well.
